Since 1933, the Garden Club of Woodbridge, Connecticut has provided local residents with the opportunity to learn about and share their interests in all aspects of gardening. We welcome the novice as well as the accomplished gardener and our activities are diverse and intended to be of wide appeal. The Club decided early in its history to concentrate its efforts in civic improvement toward landscaping and beautifying the center of town. This effort continues, but we have expanded our beautification throughout Woodbridge and our activities include floral design, flower shows, horticulture, birds and wild life and conservation. We have designed, planted and/or maintain many town gardens, including the Darling House Herb Garden, the Massaro Farm Butterfly garden, The Center Garden at the Library and the Adella Baldwin Stuart Garden at the corner of Meetinghouse Lane and Center Road. Member Leslie Martino designed the plantings at the 9/11 Memorial Garden at the Woodbridge Fire Department and our Club financially supported the project.
